Não é moda nem febre passageira. Podem, quanto muito, ir mudando de formatos, perdendo popularidade para outras, ficar desactualizadas ou presas a determinados grupos (demográficos, interesses&#8230;) quer seja por interesse próprio quer porque os participantes assim as conduziram.</p>
<p>Apesar da popularidade que lhes tem sido favorável, há ainda muitas pessoas que por cepticismo ou por não verem qualquer interesse se mantêm alheadas desta realidade.  Cada um é livre de aderir ou não mas se há coisa que me custa é saber que há pessoas que não têm sequer interesse em explorar esta realidade que de virtual tem muito pouco.</p>
<p>Sei que muitas destas redes mostram apenas uma página sem qualquer informação. Basta ir a www.facebook.com e muito pouco do que lá dentro se passa é apresentado na página de início, obrigando quem quiser saber mais a inscrever-se. Pois bem, vou facilitar o trabalho.</p>
<p>Há um café chamado Facebook lá na minha rua. É um pouco diferente daquele onde ía antes porque me pedem algumas informações à entrada: o meu nome, e-mail, com que tipo de pessoas quero partilhar a minha informação, entre outras. Claro que posso sempre inventar e dar um nome falso mas rapidamente percebo que não tenho qualquer vantagem nisso. Continuando com as diferenças, este não tem consumo mínimo nem me sinto mal por não consumir nada e posso entrar lá de bolsos vazios.</p>
<p>Terminadas as diferenças, vamos às semelhanças. Assim que entro levanto logo a cabeça à procura de pessoas que já conheço. Não tem piada ficar ali sozinho. Para isso ficava no café anterior. Identifico umas quantas e estas dizem que sim, que me conhecem e que a partir daí vão socializar comigo neste café. Posso também convidar pessoas que não conheço mas é sempre arriscado dado que podemos encontrar um chato igual ao que frequentava o café anterior e só dizia coisas parvas que não me interessavam para nada.</p>
<p>Reconhecidos alguns amigos fico surpreendido com as coisas que me dão a conhecer. Alguns mostram-me vídeos fantásticos que trazem com eles, enquanto outros desdobram álbuns de fotografias das últimas férias, festas em que se divertiram ou simplesmente fotos onde eu também apareço. Frequentemente um diz em voz alta aquilo que lhe vai na alma. Quer seja o exame que o está a preocupar, a surpresa que teve nessa manhã, o acidente que ía tendo ou que procura casa, na expectativa que alguém lhe dê algumas sugestões ou sugira algum apartamento de que tenha conhecimento. Tal como no café anterior, as conversas são sobre tudo e estendem-se como as cerejas com comentários às vezes interessantes outras vezes nem por isso. Alguns ficam literalmente sem palavras e levantam o polegar só para dizer que concordam ou gostam da observação.</p>
<p>Assim como no café anterior, há uma sala de jogos mas aqui vão bem além do dominó, das cartas ou do xadrez e posso jogar em simultâneo com muitos outros amigos. Um pouco farto dos comentários do dia-a-dia, procuro grupos que falem de assuntos que me interessam e que poucos amigos dominam. Lá encontro essa mesa e sento-me a ouvir e a comentar sobre o festival do próximo verão, sobre como tirar melhores fotografias. Algumas mesas parecem autênticos anfiteatros tantos são os participantes.</p>
<p>Também tem uma secção com a típica placa de cortiça onde a associação A, a empresa E e o músico M colocam lá informações actualizadas e onde sei que encontro a próxima iniciativa, o novo produto ou a agenda de concertos. Felizmente ao contrário do café anterior, não tenho de vasculhar a placa toda e vou directo ao que me interessa.</p>
<p>Possivelmente está a pensar: &#8220;então mas um café assim, que não cobra acesso e onde não há sequer bicas e tostas mistas a sair, como é que se consegue manter aberto?&#8221; E eu respondo que isso é lá com eles, que simplesmente vejo alguma publicidade nas paredes enquanto lá estou ou compro determinados extras nalguns jogos para os tornar mais interessantes.</p>
<p>Pode ainda pensar: &#8220;então e se não gostar? Se não se fala lá do que eu gosto?&#8221; Bem, nesse caso pode simplesmente desistir e procurar outro. Há muitos nessa rua. Lembro-me do café MySpace onde há sempre música ao vivo, da pastelaria Hi5 &#8211; ponto de encontro de muitos adolescentes, do café-galeria Flickr onde há sempre exposições de fotografia, da cervejaria LinkedIn onde se vêm muitos executivos, entre muitos outros. É só escolher.</p>
<p>Pessoalmente, gosto de frequentar mais do que um, sempre se encontram pessoas diferentes.</p>

<p>You can see the referrals and traffic to an individual bitly twitter URL by copying the URL and adding + sign to it. For example, if you see something like this in a tweet: <a href="http://bit.ly/870Ry9">http://bit.ly/870Ry9</a> just copy it and paste it with the plus and you&#8217;ll see <a href="http://bit.ly/870Ry9">http://bit.ly/870Ry9</a>+. I think that&#8217;s pretty neat. You can also track top retweets on an hourly or daily basis.</p>

<p>Para muitas empresas de varejo desprovidas de orçamento publicitário, o Twitter se tornou o único recurso de marketing. É muito mais fácil estabelecer e atualizar uma conta do Twitter do que manter um site. E, porque os donos de pequenas empresas tendem a trabalhar diretamente com o consumidor, a intimidade propiciada pelo Twitter serve bem a eles.»</p>
